11th Periodic Meeting of Divisions’ Heads

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, presided over the eleventh periodic meeting of the heads of the Academy’s divisions on Thursday 19 Shabaan 1442, corresponding to 1 April 2021. His Excellency opened the meeting by stating that the activities of the strategic plan of the Academy require permanent coordination and continuous cooperation between departments and divisions since the plan’s programs and activities are interdependent and have multidisciplinary, which requires integration and solidarity.

His Excellency also informed the meeting that his office is currently conducting intensive contacts with the Republic of Uzbekistan, seeking approval from the Uzbek authorities to hold the next session of the Academy in Tashkent, in sha Allah.

In this regard, His Excellency said that in case the session could not be held due to the pandemic, then it will be necessary to start planning from now on to hold it via videoconferencing, which requires determining the topics of the session, calling papers, and fixing three months deadline for submissions while ensuring maximum participation of leading scientific figures from universities and scientific centers

The meeting resulted in several decisions, notably:

1-Contact al-Maymaan publishing company to resolve its outstanding issues with the Academy as soon as possible.

2-Upload electronic copies of the Academy’s scientific journal on its official website to allow students and researchers to benefit from them.

3-Reorganize the classification of books in the Academy’s library according to modern classification techniques, drawing from the expertise and experience of the central libraries of prestigious Saudi universities such as King Saud University and King Abdulaziz University.

4- To objectively classify the research in the Academy’s journals to re-select the valuable research on current issues, and then print them together in independent books to be part of the Academy’s series of paper and electronic publications.

  1. To update the data of the Academy’s members and experts on the official website and complete the website’s updating by developing it and increasing its speed in response to the high number of visitors to the site recently.
