47th Weekly Meeting of Departments Directors
His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the forty seventh weekly meeting of the directors of the Academy’s departments on Monday, 27 Safar 1443H, corresponding to October 04, 2021G, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah.
His Excellency began the meeting by welcoming the directors, and thanking them for their regular attendance of the meetings, noting that we are close to holding the fifty-second meeting, which marks the completion of a full year of holding meetings, and accordingly, His Excellency assigned the Planning Department to collect all the outcomes and decisions of these meetings to evaluate the extent of commitment to implementing what was issued by it, and to measure the degree of achievement of all concerned departments so that they can amend any shortcomings in the future in order to improve their performance and the quality of work they do.
In the same context, and on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of His Excellency’s assumption of the leadership of the Academy, he expressed to all the employees his deep thanks and gratitude for their sincere efforts to carry out their jobs in the best way, and the commitment to implement the terms of the strategic plan so that the Academy can execute the tasks entrusted to it, and achieve its goals of serving Muslims all over the world. His Excellency also urged everyone to continue to exert the necessary effort and performance for the success of the various events and activities that await the Academy during the last quarter of this year.
The meeting discussed a number of topics, and several decisions were taken, the most important of which are:
- Instructing the Department of Cabinet Affairs to communicate with the member states that do not have designated members and urging them to nominate new members before the 25th Annual Session is held during the first quarter of next year.
- Reminding all departments to submit their annual reports to the Planning Department, no later than mid-October.
- Directing the Administrative Affairs Department to communicate with the General Real Estate Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to obtain an alternative warehouse for the current one.
- Instructing the Conferences Department to communicate with specialized speakers to participate in the Islamic Social Financing Symposium to be held by the Academy soon in partnership with the Central Bank of Indonesia.
