His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) received His Excellency Ambassador Kamal Bashir Aribi Dahan, Permanent Representative of the State of Libya to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), on Sunday 10 Shaaban 1443H corresponding to 13 March 2022G, in his office at the General Secretariat of the Academy in Jeddah.
His Excellency expressed his sincere thanks to his Excellency the Secretary General for the good reception, and his gratitude for this second meeting with His Excellency in about two months, praising his Excellency’s welcome to him in order to continue to discuss strengthening the important role of the State of Libya in the advancement of the Academy, and enabling it to carry out its mission to the fullest.
To achieve this, he reiterated to his Excellency the readiness of the Permanent Representation of the State of Libya to provide moral and financial support to the Academy at all levels. His Excellency also touched on the upcoming visits to the Academy by some prominent Libyan religious figures in the foreseeable future in the framework of establishing cooperation, communication and coordination between the Academy and religious and scientific institutions and centers in the member states of the OIC.
For his part, His Excellency the Secretary General of the Academy welcomed His Excellency the Permanent Representative and thanked him for this visit, which indicates the generous care that the Academy enjoys from the Permanent Representation of the State of Libya in particular and the official religious and scientific institutions of Libya in general. His Excellency also welcomed all forms of communication, coordination, and cooperation with Libyan institutions in order to serve Muslims in the State of Libya.
His Excellency also praised his Excellency’s the Permanent Representative prominent role in strengthening the relations of cooperation, partnership and coordination between the Academy and the leading scientific institutions and centers in the State of Libya. His Excellency also took the opportunity to thank the State of Libya for paying its annual contribution to the Academy’s budget and for its keenness to pay all arrears as soon as possible.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohamed Mondher El-Chouk, Director of the Department of Cabinet Affairs and Protocols at the Academy, Mr. Mohamed Adnan Al Fehri, Director of the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Academy, and Mr. Mourad TLiLi, Advisor to the Secretary General of the Academy for Media and Public Relations.
