His Eminence Dr. Muhammad Mustapha Shuaib, supervisor of the Observatory of Fatwas and Reviews at the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), representing the Secretary General of the Academy, participated in the arbitration of the Kazan International Competition for Memorizing the Holy Qur’an, which was organized by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Islamic Youth Cooperation Forum in Istanbul, and the Religious Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, during the period From 16 to 19 Shawwal 1443H corresponding to 17 to 20 May of 2022G. The competition comes within the framework of the international program: Kazan, the Youth Capital of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for the year 2022. It also falls within the activities of the celebration of the one thousand and one hundred years since the introduction of Islam in the region of Bulgaria.
Fifty male and female students from twenty countries competed in the competition, and Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Shuaib was one of the five arbitrators in the competition. The rest of the arbitrators are: the Mufti of Kazan, H.E. Sheikh Kamel Samiullah, H.E. Sheikh Maamoun Shaaban Al-Rawi from Iraq, H.E. Sheikh Isaac Danesh from Turkey, and H.E. Sheikh Yashar Chodar from Turkey. The first place for male students went to: Gatiev Musa Salmanovich, with a total score of 100%, and the first place for the female students went to: Dewi Yukha Nida, from Indonesia, with a total score of 99.75%.
His Eminence Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Shuaib also attended the celebration of the one thousand and one hundred years since the introduction of Islam in Bulgaria, which was organized by the presidency of the Republic of Tatarstan as part of the Kazan Expo, on 20 May 2022.
