The General Secretariat of the Academy held its one hundredth and second weekly meeting for the departments on Monday 01 of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah for the year 1444 AH corresponding to June 19 of June 2023, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah.
H E. Prof. Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano presided over the meeting and welcomed the attendees. Then he spoke about his visit to Dundee, Scotland, where he met with the Director of Al Maktoum College of Higher Education, delivered a public lecture at the College entitled: Promoting Peaceful Coexistence and Combating Extremist Ideology. This lecture aimed at promoting coexistence, and consolidating the values ​​of tolerance and moderation among scholars and decision-makers. He also delivered the sermon on Friday at the College Mosque. He emphasized on the need for Muslims living in the West in general and in the UK in particular to uphold the values of love, kindness, compassion, respect and justice in their daily lives. He also called upon Muslim communities to be respectful to the rules of law and the legislation of the countries of residency or birth.
After briefing on his visit to Scotland he talked about the need to take advantage of the Hajj season to operate the waqf building in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
The meeting discussed the items of the decisions issued by the previous meeting, and several decisions were issued, the most important of which are:
• Reminding the importance of completing the unloading of the tapes of the twenty-fifth session, printing them, and handing over the print to the printing department for the final coordination of the printing press.
• Emphasis on sending all defaulted amounts due to reviewers, researchers, with the need to submit a report .
• Sending certificates of thanks and appreciation to all participants who participated in the twenty-fifth session of the Academy.
