The Head of the Sharia Judicial Authority of the Republic of Chad visits the Academy

H.E. Professor Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, received His Eminence Sheikh Al-Quni Ibrahim Senussi Bakhit, member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Chad and head of the Sharia Judicial Authority, and his accompanying delegation, on Wednesday 17 of Dhul-Hijjah for the year 1444 AH corresponding to 05 of July 2023 AD, at the headquarters of the Academy in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He welcomed his guest and the delegation and thanked them for their visit. He also expressed the Academy’s thanks to the Republic of Chad for its continuous support to the Academy. He then gave a brief overview of the academy’s vision, mission and its full readiness to cooperate with the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Chad by signing a MoU between the two institutions in the field of joint organization of conferences and seminars about problems of contemporary life facing Muslims in Africa in general and the Republic of Chad in particular.

For his part, H.E. Sheikh Senussi expressed his gratitude to His Excellency for the warm welcome and his honor to visit the Academy, which is considered the first jurisprudential reference in the Islamic world, noting the good reputation it enjoys through the great services to Muslims inside and outside the countries of the Islamic world. He added that he is looking forward, through this visit, to consolidating relations of cooperation and coordination with the Academy and to making use of the strong decisions issued by the elite scholars of the Ummah who are abundant with the Academy.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Al-Quni Muhammad Abdul Qadir, Director of Education and Rehabilitation and General Coordinator of the delegates of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, and Sheikh Haroun Muhammad Salih Al-Issa, Commissioner of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in the Republic of Chad in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Dr. Abdel Fattah Mahmoud Abanouf, Director of the Planning Department and international cooperation and external relations and Mr. Muhammad Walid Al-Idrisi, Director of the Media and Public Relations, Information and Communication Technology Department of the Academy.

He commended the tremendous support, gracious care, and continuous attention the Academy has received from the leadership and people of Jordan since its establishment. He also conveyed his sincere appreciation for the Ambassador’s recent visit to the Academy, affirming the Academy’s full readiness to do everything that would enhance partnership, cooperation, coordination, and communication between the Academy and Jordanian religious and academic institutions. His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Al‑Mundhir Rida Al‑Shawk, Director of the Office and Protocol; Mr. Mohammed Waleed Al‑Idrisi, Director of Media and Public Relations; Ms. Sarah Amjad Badawi, Director of the Department of Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly; and Mr. Amjad Ibrahim Al‑Mansi, Head of the Protocol Section.
