Secretary General receives Permanent Representative of Indonesia to OIC

His Excellency Prof. Dr. Koutoub Moustafa Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, received His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Echo Hartono, Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday 23 Dhu al-Hijjah 1444H corresponding to 11 July 2023 at the Academy’s headquarters in Jeddah. His Excellency expressed his sincere thanks and great appreciation to His Excellency for the warm welcome and good reception, noting in this regard that this visit will be his last visit to the General Secretariat of the Academy, as he is at the end of his official service as a permanent representative of his country to the Organization.

His Excellency came specifically to bid farewell to His Excellency the Secretary General , expressing his great gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency for the fruitful cooperation he received throughout his tenure, and expressed his aspiration to strengthen cooperation and communication relations between the General Secretariat of the Academy and the Republic of Indonesia through activating the cooperation agreements signed between the Academy and the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Council of Indonesian Ulema, and the new Academy member of Indonesia, who was recently nominated as a representative of the Republic in the Council of the Academy, also confirmed the approval of the official authorities for the participation of Indonesian scholars in the delegation of the nation’s scholars who will visit Afghanistan in the near future, led by the Academy, God willing. His Excellency concluded his speech by praying for His Excellency for more success and success.

For his part, His Excellency welcomed His Excellency and thanked him for this visit, which indicates the appreciation that His Excellency and the delegation have for the Academy. It also confirms the sincere desire and great keenness of His Excellency to consolidate relations of cooperation and communication between the General Secretariat of the Academy and the scientific and religious institutions of the Republic of Indonesia. On this occasion, His Excellency expressed his deep appreciation and great gratitude to His Excellency for the support and care he provided to the Academy during his tenure as Permanent Representative of his country to the Organization, expressing his regret at the news of His Excellency’s departure. at this time, after he left a good impact, to all those who knew and dealt with him, and wished him success in his new tasks.
