The Secretariat General of the Academy held the thirty-third periodic monthly meeting of the Academy’s staff, chaired by H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General, on Sunday 19 Muharam 1445, corresponding to 06 August 2023, at the Secretariat General’s headquarters in Jeddah.

At the start of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the participants and thanked them for attending, recalling the importance of such meetings to improve communication and coordination between the various departments and divisions, benefit from suggestions and identify difficulties. He then spoke of his recent visit to the Kingdom of Morocco and his meeting with a number of officials to discuss the possibility of hosting the twenty-sixth session in Rabat.

His Excellency gave the floor to the staff to express their opinions and observations on the progress of the Academy. His Excellency listened with interest to the comments and proposals. The meeting took a number of decisions, the most important of which are as follows:

• Prepare and equip the meeting room so that staff can attend meetings remotely when required.
• Submit a full report on the latest developments in translating the Academy’s resolutions into various languages.
• Drafting names of researchers for the next symposium on genetically modified meat.
