H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of IIFA, chaired the forty-eighth ordinary meeting of divisions heads, on Wednesday 07 Safar 1445, corresponding to 23 August 2023, at the Secretariat General in Jeddah.

At the start of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the heads of division and thanked them for their regular participation in these periodic meetings. His Excellency then spoke about the second visit of the Ummah scholars’ delegation to Afghanistan, under the supervision of IIFA, scheduled in the coming days to continue dialogue and discussion with Afghan scholars and representatives of the current authority. The purpose of the visit is to continue discussions and dialogue with them on the latest issues discussed in the previous visit, in particular with regard to the issue of women’s education, the participation of women in development, and the strengthening of cooperation, communication and integration between all components of the Afghan people.

The participants then discussed the decisions of the previous meeting and new decisions were taken, notably:

• Review and coordinate research paper of the symposium “Family Foundation: Challenges and Perspectives” and deliver it in its final form for print.
• Completing the translation of the “Dictionary of the Academy’s Personalities” and reviewing the entire translation for printing.
• Prepare a weekly statistical report on the number of visitors to the IIFA website by day, week and month.
• Printing of cooperation agreements in all three languages.
