The IIFA Secretariat General held its 105th weekly meeting of departments on Thursday 08 Safar 1445, corresponding to 24 August 2023, at the Secretariat General in Jeddah.

H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of IIFA, chaired the meeting and welcomed the participants, then spoke of his meeting with the delegation from the Islamic Economics Institute of King Abdulaziz University during their visit to IIFA. The meeting provided an opportunity to examine ways of strengthening relations between the Institute and IIFA on economic topics of common interest to the Ummah.

As part of the activities and programs that IIFA intends to implement, His Excellency asked the departments to present a vision for holding a scientific symposium on The Calamities of Hajj and its Novelties to study some important calamities that did not exist in past times, and to invite high-level scholars and muftis from Muslim world countries to participate in this symposium.

The meeting reviewed the decisions taken in the previous meeting and several new decisions were taken, notably:

• Prepare a vision for joint activities and programs to strengthen relations between IIFA, Al-Haramain General Presidency of Religious Affairs, and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance.
• Final revision of the transcripts of the audio recordings of the twenty-fifth session and delivery of the final format to the printer.
• Coordinate visits to a number of major universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and discuss ways of cooperating with them.
