H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, chaired the forty-ninth meeting of divisions’ heads, on Thursday, 29 Safar 1445, corresponding to September 14, 2023, at the headquarters of the Secretariat General in Jeddah.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the divisions’ heads and thanked them for their regular attendance at these periodic meetings. His Excellency informed the audience of the success of the second visit to Afghanistan with the participation of a delegation that includes about 30 scholars from various countries as a follow-up to the first visit by the delegation last year.

The attendees then discussed previous meeting’s decisions; new decisions were made, notably:

• Preparing to hold a symposium: “The Family Foundation: Challenges and Prospects” in Jeddah, in cooperation with the Islamic Youth Forum in Turkey.

-Sending the latest version of the “Encyclopadia of the Academy’s Scholars” to the Translation Department to translate the new additions and to review the entire translation for printing.

• Typesetting and printing the signed cooperation agreements in the three languages.
• Dubbing the Academy’s documentary into English and French, and publishing it on the website.
• Reconsider previous agreements, and ensure that the signatory parties are willing to renew them.
• Create an official account for the Academy on the “Instagram”, and the Director of Family Department will manage it.
