H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, chaired the 129th weekly departments meeting on Monday 03 Muharam 1446, corresponding to 08 July 2024, at the Secretariat General’s headquarters in Jeddah.

His Excellency began the meeting by welcoming participants and congratulating colleagues on their new appointments to direct the department, His Excellency said that these appointments would help them to achieve good results and promote the Academy, calling on all employees to take advantage of mobility experiences between different departments to increase their knowledge, expertise and experience.

His Excellency also spoke to the meeting about official approval for the Livestock Meat Symposium to be held next September, highlighting the need to review the research papers received on the theme of the symposium and ensure that they address all the themes in the book, and to examine the issues that researchers have not addressed on the themes of the symposium, and the possibility of appointing a number of experts and specialists in the field to write on these issues.

The meeting then discussed previous decisions and a number of new decisions were made, namely:

• Include and present the results of the Livestock Meat Symposium recommendations in the upcoming next session.
• Submit quotes for media coverage of the symposium and consider its cost.
• Suggest five (5) subjects for research and to be suggested to the General Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques Affairs to organize conferences in their regard.
