Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to OIC praises the Academy’s Efforts

As part of the cooperation and partnership between the State of Kuwait and the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, HE Ambassador Mohammed Saud Al-Mutairi, Consul General and Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, visited the Academy in Jeddah on Thursday, 3 Safar 1446, corresponding to 7 August 2024, together with Mr. Humaid Al-Mutairi, Deputy Consul General of Kuwait.

Upon arrival, His Excellency was welcomed by H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, who warmly welcomed him and his companion and expressed his thanks and appreciation for this visit, which is the first of its kind since his appointment as Consul General in Jeddah and Permanent Representative of Kuwait to OIC.

His Excellency expressed the gratitude of the Academy, its members, experts and employees to Kuwait’s leadership and people for their tireless support and permanent patronage of the Academy from its creation to this day, praising the distinguished intellectual and scientific contribution of the scholars and experts of Kuwait during the various sessions, conferences and seminars of the Academy. In addition, the State of Kuwait represents the Arab Group in the Bureau of the Academy since years. His Excellency also thanked the State of Kuwait for hosting two sessions of the Academy, emphasizing the support of its wise leadership and its keenness to promote the Academy.

For his part, the Ambassador expressed his great pleasure for this visit, and recorded his feelings in the golden book, saying: “I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to Professor Sano for the warm welcome and the thorough presentation of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in serving the Ummah. I wish him success, with my best wishes”. The Ambassador expressed the State of Kuwait’s full readiness to host one of the next Academy sessions, in confirmation of his country’s support and patronage of the Academy.

At the end of the visit, the Secretary General gifted his guest a memorial shield and the Academy’s publications and toured with his guests the facilities and the library of the Academy. The meeting was attended by H.E. Mr. Humaid Al-Mutairi, Deputy Consul General of Kuwait in Jeddah, Dr. Abdulfatah Abnauf, Director of Planning and External Relations, Mr. Khalid Al-Ahmadi, Head of the Financial Affairs, and Mr. Saad Al-Sammar, Head of the Media Division at the Academy.
