As part of the Secretariat General of the Academy’s efforts to enhance cooperation with the organs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, visited the headquarters of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) in Rabat on Wednesday, 13 Rabi Al-Akhir 1446, corresponding to 16 October 2024.
The Secretary General of the Academy was received by H.E. Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Al-Malik, Director General of ICESCO, who welcomed the delegation and thanked them for the visit, which confirms the keenness of the Academy to build bridges with the OIC organs, and expressed his thanks for the approval of ICESCO’s Director General as a designated member in the IIFA Council, which reflects the pioneering and leading role played by ISESCO in the educational, intellectual and cultural fields within the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, especially in presenting the civilized true Islam to the world through a number of initiatives that enrich the civilizational dialogue.
Then, the Secretary General expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome and kind sentiments, highly appreciating ICESCO’s efforts as well as the generous support from OIC’s Member States, and renewed IIFA’s invitation to Dr. Al-Malik to participate in the 26th session of IIFA to be hosted by the State of Qatar in Doha early next year, in Sha Allah.
During the visit, bilateral relations between IIFA and ICESCO were reviewed to enhance them in areas of mutual interest that serve their aspirations. The delegation included Mr. Mohammed Adnan Al-Fihri, Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Academy, Mrs. Sarah Amjad Hussein, Director of Family, Women, and Children Affairs, and Mr. Saad Al-Samar, Head of Media and IT Division.
