IIFA and Al Qasimia University sign MoC

With the aim of strengthening scientific partnerships with outstanding academic institutions in the OIC member states, the International Islamic Fiqh Academy and Al Qasimiya University signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Wednesday 18 Shawwal 1446, corresponding to 16 April 2025, at the University’s headquarters in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

This agreement, signed by H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, and H.E. Prof. Awwad Al Khalaf, Acting Rector of Al Qasimia University, aims to establish an effective scientific partnership between the two institutions in scientific research, Islamic, economic and social studies, as well as to promote cooperation in the field of contemporary issues, organization of scientific conferences and seminars, exchange of publications, and representation in events of mutual interest.

The Secretary General expressed his great pleasure at this partnership, noting the promising scientific and research development witnessed by Al-Qasimia University within a decade of its establishment, stressing that this agreement represents a valuable opportunity to invite researchers from the University to participate in the Academy’s conferences and seminars in order to pave the way for scientific integration and intellectual convergence among scholars and experts in addressing the Ummah’s contemporary issues.

The signing ceremony was attended by university officials, as well as by Mrs. Sarah bint Amjad Bedewi, Supervisor of the Secretary General’s Office, and Mr. Saad Al-Samar, Head of the Academy’s Media Division.
