Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Ahmed Shoaib, Director of the Department of Research, Studies, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries and Translation at the Academy, chaired the 23rd meeting of the Scientific and Accreditation Council of the General Council of Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI), held online on Tuesday 17 Shawal 1446, corresponding to 15 April 2025.

The meeting began with the approval of the meeting agenda and the minutes of the 22nd meeting. Dr. Abdelilah Belatik, Secretary General of the Board, presented a report on CIBAFI’s activities over the past period and discussed updates to the online training platform, translation of training kits, approval of the list of trainers, in addition to a number of other issues.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdelilah Belatik, Secretary General of CIBAFI, Dr. Abdullah Mohammed of IsDB, Akram Lalludin, CEO of the International Academy for Shariah Research, Malaysia (ISRA), Dr. Mohammed Barsis of the Saleh Kamel Center at Al-Azhar University and Dr. Riad Al-Hindawi of the Institute of Banking Studies, Jordan.
