
Born in Jordan, H.E. Dr. Khawla Al-Nobani obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh from Kuwait University in 1989, a Master’s degree in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh from the University of Jordan in 1995, a Ph.D. in Islamic Finance in 2011, and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Amman Arab University in 2021. She has extensive experience in research and has made significant contributions to both legal and scientific fields at the local and regional levels, as well as within Islamic financial institutions and Islamic Awqaf. Her professional journey includes developing strategic plans and implementing training programs in Islamic banking, sukuk, takaful insurance, governance, and Awqaf, as well as related ethical and behavioral topics, aimed at enhancing skills, knowledge, and deeper awareness across all management levels and staff engaged in Islamic finance.
Her Eminence has held several important positions, including accredited trainer for the Islamic Development Bank, member of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Islamic Bank, member of the Jordan Lawyers Association, and member of the Jordanian Scholars Association, as well as being involved in multiple charitable organizations. She served as the Assistant Secretary-General of the Islamic Financial Services Board in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and as an adjunct lecturer in Islamic Economics at the University of Jordan. She has supervised Islamic insurance policies and banking institutions, and is a certified trainer for Al-Kafi Foundation in Tunisia and the Banking Studies Institute, affiliated with the Central Bank of Jordan. Additionally, she has contributed to raising awareness through radio programs for the Jordanian Arabic Language Academy, focusing on family, economics, and social issues over four consecutive years.
H.E. Dr. Khawla Al-Nobani has been appointed as a member of the Council of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy since 2025.
