
Born in 1349H (1930), in Shaqra Province, Saudi Arabia, H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Manea studied at the Shaqra Elementary School, then joined the Islamic Scientific Institute, which was the early foundation of Imam Muhammad bin Saud University, where he continued his studies until obtaining his university degree from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh.
His Excellency has held numerous positions, including: an Islamic jurisprudence advisor at the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia since 2008, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars since its inception, the former Vice-General of the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Baz (may Allah have mercy on him), a judge in the Court of Appeals in Mecca, President of the Court of Appeals, and currently the head of several Shariah councils and bodies for Islamic financial institutions in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE.
The Council of the Academy appointed H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Manea as a designated member since 1985, representing the Islamic Fiqh Council of the Muslim World League. He has followed the Academy’s journey since its establishment, participating as a researcher and active member in various sessions and seminars.
