His Eminence Dr. Tijani Sabun Mohammed

Born in Abéché (Chad) in 1952, H.E. Dr. Tijani Sabun Mohammed obtained a double license certificate (Arabic-French) in 1975, and a double general diploma in educational sciences from Ain Shams University in Cairo in 1976. He earned a Diploma of Advanced Studies in History from King Faisal University in N’Djamena in 2010, and a Higher Diploma in Diplomatic Studies from the National Center for Diplomatic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sudan in 2016. He also obtained a Ph.D. in Modern History from Omdurman Islamic University in Sudan in 2017.

H.E. Dr. Tijani Sabun Mohammed has held several important positions, including: membership in the International Fiqh Council from Chad since November 19, 1984; advisor to the Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Relations at the National Assembly of Chad since 2018; Professor of Translation at King Faisal University in N’Djamena since 2021; Senior Advisor at the Chadian Embassy in Sudan (2010–2017); Director of Human Resources at the National Assembly of Chad (2008–2010); Director of Administrative and Technical Departments at the National Assembly of Chad (2006–2008); Advisor for Communications and Human Rights at the Prime Minister’s Office in Chad (1993–1995); Specialized Translator at the National Assembly of Chad (1995–2005); Professor of Translation at the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences in N’Djamena (1987–1990); Director of Arab Education and Chad’s Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for Education, Science, and Culture (1982–1987); Director of the Office of the Secretary of State for Public Health, Labor, and Social Affairs (1976–1978); Director of Felix Boy Secondary School (1979–1981); Member of the Institutional Technical Committee tasked with drafting the constitution (1995); and Member of the National Human Rights Committee (1994).
