The 69th Periodic Meeting of Divisions

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), presided over the 69th periodic meeting of Heads of Divisions, held on Thursday, 6 Ṣafar 1447 AH, corresponding to 31 July 2025 , at the Academy’s General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

His Excellency welcomed the attendees and informed them of his acceptance of the resignation submitted by Mr. Lardjane from the Academy, expressing his sincere appreciation for Mr. Lardjane’s valuable contributions during his tenure and extending his best wishes for continued success in his future endeavours.

The meeting concluded with the adoption of several key decisions, including:

  • Updating and redesigning the Academy’s introductory brochures to be included in official gift packages, along with scanning the guestbook and creating a new section on the official website titled: “What They Said About the Academy.”
  • Distributing the Academy’s publications and the fifth edition of the Book of Resolutions to partner institutions, permanent missions, consulates, embassies, universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Council of Senior Scholars, and the Presidency of Religious Affairs.
  • Continuing to publish new video content on the Academy’s official YouTube channel and updating the portraits of current and former Secretaries General and members.
  • Completing the printing of previously pending newsletter editions.
  • Disbursing the translation fees for the Turkish version of the Book of Resolutions to the Academy member representing the Republic of Türkiye.
  • Uploading the digital versions of the Book of Resolutions translated into non-Arabic languages to the official website by 6 August 2025.
  • Initiating coordination with specialized translators to translate the Book of Resolutions into Russian, Chinese, Portuguese, and Fulani.
  • Selecting the most suitable offer for printing the Turkish edition of the Book of Resolutions.

Secretary‑General of the Academy Visits the Consulate General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan His Excellency Professor Dr. Qutb Mustafa Sano, Secretary‑General of the Academy, paid an official visit on 29 Sha‘ban 1447 AH, corresponding to 17 February 2026, to the Consulate General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Jeddah. His Excellency and his accompanying delegation were received by His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed Salah Sobhi Hameed, Consul General and Permanent Representative of Jordan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, who welcomed him warmly and expressed his pleasure at the visit. For his part, His Excellency expressed his deep gratitude and great appreciation to the Ambassador for the warm reception and generous hospitality. He commended the tremendous support, gracious care, and continuous attention the Academy has received from the leadership and people of Jordan since its establishment. He also conveyed his sincere appreciation for the Ambassador’s recent visit to the Academy, affirming the Academy’s full readiness to do everything that would enhance partnership, cooperation, coordination, and communication between the Academy and Jordanian religious and academic institutions. His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Al‑Mundhir Rida Al‑Shawk, Director of the Office and Protocol; Mr. Mohammed Waleed Al‑Idrisi, Director of Media and Public Relations; Ms. Sarah Amjad Badawi, Director of the Department of Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly; and Mr. Amjad Ibrahim Al‑Mansi, Head of the Protocol Section.
