His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Republic of Guinea Welcomes the Secretary-General

His Excellency Mr Ahmed Oury Bah, Prime Minister and Head of Government of the Republic of Guinea, received His Excellency Professor Dr Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, in his office at the White Dove Palace in the capital Conakry, on the morning of Monday, 3 Jumada al-Akhirah 1447 AH, corresponding to November 24, 2025.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency expressed the Academy’s profound gratitude and sincere appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Guinea for its continuous support and generous care extended to the Academy by the Guinean leadership and government. He praised the significant efforts of the Guinean government to strengthen the path to development, stability, and prosperity in the country.
For his part, the Prime Minister warmly welcomed His Excellency, expressing his delight at this honourable visit and his pride that one of Guinea’s distinguished loyal sons holds a prestigious and important position within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, of which the Republic of Guinea was a founding member. He also expressed his joy at the progress and transformation witnessed by the Academy’s General Secretariat since His Excellency assumed leadership, affirming the full support of the country’s top leadership for him. He concluded his remarks by renewing his government’s readiness to provide all means of support to the Academy’s mission and its noble objectives in serving Islam and Muslims.
During the meeting, His Excellency and the Prime Minister exchanged cordial discussions on ways to strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly regarding efforts to promote the values of moderation and balance in the Islamic world, as well as the importance of benefiting from the expertise and members of the Academy in addressing contemporary jurisprudential issues and enhancing civilizational dialogue with international organizations and institutions.
At the end of the visit, His Excellency once again expressed his profound thanks and appreciation to the Prime Minister for the warm reception and generous hospitality, praying to Almighty God to preserve the Republic of Guinea and to bless its leadership and people with continued security, stability, and prosperity.
