
On the afternoon of Wednesday, 16 Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to November 18, 2025, His Excellency Professor Dr Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, visited His Excellency retired General Aboubacar Sidiki Camara, Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Guinea, in his office at the Ministry of Defence in the capital Conakry.
This visit took place within the framework of the strong fraternal relations that bind His Excellency to senior officials of the current Guinean government. During the meeting, His Excellency conveyed his sincere wishes for the Minister’s success in his national duties, praising his pioneering efforts to consolidate security and strengthen stability in the country.
For his part, the Minister warmly welcomed His Excellency, expressing his great pleasure at this honourable visit and appreciating his valued efforts in promoting the values of moderation, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among peoples through his participation in international conferences, seminars, and forums. He also commended the Academy’s leading role in addressing contemporary issues facing the Islamic Ummah, spreading a moderate religious discourse, and combating fanaticism, extremism, and terrorism.
The two sides then exchanged cordial discussions on prospects for strengthening cooperation and communication between the Academy and various intellectual, religious, and scientific institutions of the state.
At the conclusion of the visit, His Excellency expressed his heartfelt wishes for the Minister’s continued success, praying to Almighty God to protect him with His care, bless his efforts, and preserve him from all harm and misfortune.
