Sixtieth Monthly Staff Meeting

Chaired by His Excellency Prof. Dr Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, the Academy held its sixtieth monthly staff meeting on Monday, 24 Jumada al‑Akhirah 1447 AH, corresponding to 15 December 2025, at the General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah.
His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees and expressing his gratitude and appreciation to Mr Hassan Kumait for his commendable efforts and diligent follow‑up during his tenure as Acting Secretary-General of the Academy. He also informed the attendees of the decision to convene a symposium titled “The Role of Religious Leaders in Combating Violence Against Women,” scheduled—God willing—for late January 2026, emphasising the importance of thorough preparation for this significant scholarly event.
As is customary at such meetings, His Excellency invited all staff members to present their suggestions and observations on workflow and performance development within the Academy. The meeting witnessed constructive discussions in which several topics were addressed, resulting in several decisions, the most notable of which were:
• Printing several books authored by the President of the Academy, including his work “Raf‘ al‑Haraj” and other scholarly publications.
• Preparing a comprehensive report on existing documents, indicating the degree of need for them and the possibility of benefiting from them in the future.
• Emphasising the importance of completing the final review of the Biographical Dictionary of the Academy’s Eminent Figures and submitting it to the printing press in its final form.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the efforts of all divisions, urging everyone to redouble their work, maintain precision, and strengthen the spirit of cooperation in a manner that fulfils the Academy’s mission and objectives.
