The Academy held its one hundred and fifty‑first weekly departmental meeting on Monday, 9 Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to 29 December 2025, at the General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency, Professor Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, welcomed the attendees, then spoke about the “Symposium of Religious Leaders in Confronting Violence Against Women.” He informed the members that it had been decided to hold the symposium on 30 March 2026. He directed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs be notified at the appropriate time to take the necessary measures.
Following this, the meeting discussed the items of the decisions issued in the previous session, and several new decisions were adopted, the most prominent of which were:
• Completion of the design layout for the symposium research papers and the accompanying booklet.
• Communicating with specialised companies to replace the flags of member states displayed at the building’s façade.
• Beginning preparation of the updated version of the upcoming five‑year strategic plan, along with presenting the observations made on the previous plan.
• Searching for technical software capable of detecting the percentage of AI‑generated text to ensure the authenticity of scientific research.
