H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, chaired the 67th Periodic Monthly Meeting of the Academy’s Staff, held on Sunday, 27 Muharram 1448 AH, corresponding to 12 July 2026, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah.

At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency expressed his sincere condolences to H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, the Qatari ruling family, and the brotherly people of Qatar on the passing of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father Amir, praying to Allah Almighty to bless him with His abundant mercy and forgiveness, grant him the highest ranks in Paradise, and reward him abundantly for his distinguished services to the State of Qatar and to the Arab and Muslim Ummahs. His Excellency also directed the formation of an Academy delegation to offer condolences.

His Excellency then briefed the attendees on the latest developments regarding the arrangements for the Scientific Seminar for Religious Leaders, noting that the necessary preparations had been completed and invitations had already been sent to the participants. He stressed the importance of adhering to the approved timetable to complete the remaining arrangements.

His Excellency further emphasized the importance of the Academy’s regular meetings in strengthening communication among staff members, providing an opportunity for the exchange of views and proposals, enhancing institutional performance, improving the quality of work, and strengthening coordination among the Academy’s departments and divisions.

The meeting also discussed a number of administrative and organizational matters.

The meeting concluded with several decisions, the most important of which were:

• Nominating a number of the Academy’s staff members to participate in a specialized training course in video editing and graphic design.
• Continuing coordination for the printing of the Book of Resolutions and completing the printing of the remaining copies of the Academy Journal.
• Following up on the submission of the revised papers to the printing press and completing the related academic and administrative procedures.
