Dr. Abdelhamid Achaq, Director of Dar al-Hadith al-Hassania, welcomed H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), and the accompanying delegation in Rabat on Wednesday, 8 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to 22 July 2026. He expressed his pleasure at the visit and presented an overview of the institution’s academic mission, its principal programmes, and its activities in higher education, scientific research, and specialized Islamic studies.

His Excellency expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm reception and praised the distinguished academic standing of Dar al-Hadith al-Hassania and its valuable contribution to Islamic scholarship. He also expressed the Academy’s aspiration to establish a sustainable academic partnership with the institution in support of the Muslim Ummah and in addressing contemporary issues.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the importance of re-examining certain scholarly interpretations within the Islamic intellectual heritage, particularly those relating to the Prophetic Hadith, through rigorous methodological approaches grounded in established historical evidence to achieve sound and balanced understanding.

Established in Rabat in 1964 and affiliated with Al-Qarawiyyin University, Dar al-Hadith al-Hassania is one of Morocco’s leading institutions of higher education and scientific research, specializing in advanced Islamic studies and doctoral programmes.
