His Excellency Mr. Mawloud Ahmed Muslih Al-Mashhadani, Consul General of the Republic of Iraq in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative of Iraq to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, visited the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in Jeddah on Monday, 27 July 2026.

Professor Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, welcomed the Iraqi Consul General and congratulated him on his appointment, wishing him success in his duties.

His Excellency highlighted the Academy’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Iraqi scientific and educational institutions that promote moderation, tolerance, solidarity, and social harmony.

He expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Iraq for its continued support of the Academy since its establishment and presented an overview of the Academy’s programs aimed at combating extremism, fanaticism, radicalization, and terrorism while promoting openness, coexistence, and mutual understanding.

For his part, the Consul General stated:

“Today, I had the honor of visiting the International Islamic Fiqh Academy of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and meeting its Secretary General, Professor Koutoub Moustapha Sano. We will remain in close contact, God willing. Iraq supports the efforts of the Academy, and we wish it every success.”
