9 September، 2026

H.E. Professor Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the Academy’s 164th weekly meeting of the departments on Wednesday, 22 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to 5 August 2026, at the headquarters of the Academy’s General Secretariat in Jeddah.

At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the attendees and then spoke about the official invitation extended to him to participate in the Muslim World League’s International Conference, entitled “Diversity and Social Peace: Partnership for a Promising Future,” scheduled to take place in Abuja, Federal Republic of Nigeria, from 10 to 14 August 2026. The conference aims to strengthen dialogue among diverse religious communities and promote cooperation and integration among societal institutions in order to achieve stability and peace. His Excellency emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation and activating the relationship between the Academy and the Muslim World League within the framework of the cooperation memorandum signed between the two institutions.

He also stressed the necessity of sending travel tickets to participants in the Religious Leaders Seminar well in advance and ensuring that they receive them according to the agreed travel itineraries.

The meeting then discussed several administrative and organisational matters related to the progress of work in the Academy’s departments and reviewed the implementation of previous decisions. Several resolutions were adopted, the most important of which were:

  • Informing the Academy’s staff about the training course in photography, registering those interested in benefiting from it, and completing the necessary arrangements for its implementation.
  • Converting news bulletins, annual reports, and updated brochures into electronic formats equipped with QR Codes, and publishing them on the Academy’s website.
  • Following up on the preparation of the weekly report concerning the daily updating of the website’s content, verifying the accuracy of the Academy members’ information and national flags, and completing the dispatch of letters of appreciation and official invitations to the relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Morocco.
