
Representing His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II presented H.E. Professor Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, with a Membership Certificate of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, 27 Rabi‘ al-Awwal 1448 AH, corresponding to 9 September 2026, during an official recognition ceremony held at Al Husseiniya Palace in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
The presentation of the membership certificate formed part of the honoring of a number of distinguished leaders participating in the proceedings of the 19th Conference of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought, in recognition of their efforts in serving the Muslim Ummah. The ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Hashim bin Al Hussein and His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, Senior Advisor to His Majesty for Religious and Cultural Affairs, His Majesty’s Personal Envoy, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought.
During the ceremony, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince also conferred royal decorations upon a number of scholars and presented membership certificates of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought to several scholars, academics, and leading intellectual and scientific figures.
It is noteworthy that the 19th Conference of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought is being held in Amman, Jordan, over a period of three days under the theme:
“The Priorities of the Ummah in the Next Twenty-Five Years (2026–2050)”
The conference brings together more than seventy scholars from thirty countries, representing various Islamic institutions as well as diverse schools of thought, traditions, and intellectual orientations. Participants discussed several contemporary Islamic issues and explored appropriate visions and solutions to address them.
