His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees. He then congratulated the host country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, and its people on the occasion of its glorious National Day, praying to Almighty Allah to preserve the Land of the Two Holy Mosques and to perpetuate upon it the blessings of security and stability.

His Excellency also informed the attendees that the Academy’s book of Resolutions and Recommendations has been translated into Bahasa (Malay), noting that work is underway to finalise the review in preparation for sending it to the printing press.

His Excellency further emphasised the need to hold joint meetings beginning next week to activate the committees working on the Twenty-Seventh Session of the Academy Council and to follow up continuously on any emerging issues and related arrangements.

The meeting also discussed a number of items listed on its agenda and adopted several decisions, the most important of which were:

• To obtain three quotations for the printing of the session papers, including price, quality, and the time required for completion, in addition to three quotations for the shipment of the papers and their conference bags.
• To arrange the reception of Professor Dr. Said Chabbar, Secretary-General of the Supreme Scientific Council of the Kingdom of Morocco, and to hold a meeting with him to discuss the details of hosting the Academy’s upcoming session.
• To follow up on the daily updating of the Academy’s website content and to verify the names of members, country flags, and other information in the three languages, through coordination among the relevant departments.
• To expedite the preparation of the draft reommendations for the Symposium onthe role of religious leaders in confronting violence against women
