His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees and expressing his appreciation to the Academy’s delegation that met during the previous week with His Eminence Professor Dr Saeed Chabbar, Secretary General of the Higher Council of Ulema of the Kingdom of Morocco, to discuss arrangements relating to the hosting by the Kingdom of Morocco of the Twenty-Eighth Session of the Conference of the Academy Council.

His Excellency also spoke about the Academy’s delegation’s visit to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Türkiye to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, noting that a copy of the Academy’s Resolutions and Recommendations book, recently translated into Turkish, had been presented to the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Türkiye.

The meeting discussed a number of items included on its agenda and adopted several decisions, the most important of which were:

• Obtaining three price quotations for the printing of the research papers of the Twenty-Seventh Session, including details of price, quality, and the time required for completion, in addition to three quotations for the shipment of the research papers and their accompanying bags.
• Preparing a letter from the General Secretariat to the Academy’s member representing the Republic of Türkiye to coordinate the distribution of copies of the Academy’s Resolutions and Recommendations book in the Turkish language to universities, centres, and forums with which the Academy has signed cooperation agreements, so as to maximize the benefit from the Academy’s resolutions and recommendations.
• Continuing the updating of the Academy’s website content with regard to members, agreements, and photographs, and working on its development in the three languages to make it more attractive and interactive.
• Finalizing the draft recommendations of the seminar entitled “The Role of Religious Leaders in Combating Violence Against Women” and submitting them to the General Secretariat, as well as completing the distribution of participation certificates to the seminar participants.
