H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano visits the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ headquarters in the Makkah Province

H.E. Prof. Koutoub Mustapha Sano paid a working visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in the Makkah Province, located in Jeddah, on Wednesday morning 14 Jamada al-Akhira 1442, corresponding to 27 January 2021. H.E. Amb Hani Abdullah Moumina, director-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs branch in the Makkah Province, received his Excellency and the accompanying delegation.

His Excellency started his meeting with H.E. the Ambassador by expressing his sincere thanks and deep appreciation for the warm welcome and congratulated him on his appointment as Director-General of the Branch of the Foreign Ministry. His Excellency then reviewed the most important scientific activities and programs carried out by the International Islamic Fiqh Academy as a global scientific Shariah body established by the Muslim world’s heads of state under the auspices of the OIC, in order to study issues, calamities and developments of interest to Muslims, by clarifying the Shariah rulings therein and providing practical solutions to contemporary life problems.

His Excellency also praised the generous care and great facilities that the Academy has received from the government of the headquarters state since its creation to date, emphasizing – in this regard – the concern of the Secretariat General of the Academy to strengthen the cooperative relations with the branch of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Makkah province.

For his part, H.E. Amb. Hani Abdullah Moumina expressed his contentment and pleasure at this generous visit and thanked the Secretary-General for the additional information he provided on the activities and programs of the Academy. He also expressed to His Excellency the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Makkah Province to provide the necessary support, as well as all the facilities and logistical services needed by the Academy and the OIC, following the directives of the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in accordance with the instructions of H.E. the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At the end of the visit, the Secretary-General presented His Excellency with a copy of the fourth edition of the book of resolutions of the Academy, which was recently printed, and includes all the resolutions, recommendations and declarations issued by the International Islamic Fiqh Academy since its creation forty years ago.

During the visit, His Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Mohamed Mondher Chouk, director of the cabinet and protocols, Mr. Amjad Mustafa, head of the protocols division, and Ms. Sarah Amjad Hussein, supervisor of public relations at the Academy.
