‏The hundred and one weekly meeting of the departmen

His Excellency Prof. Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, presided over the 101st weekly meeting of the departments on the day Monday, 23rd of Dhu al-Qi`dah 1444H, corresponding to the 12th of June 2023 AD, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah. He welcomed the attendees, then spoke about his participation in the Conference of Ministers of Social Affairs, which was held in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the period between 5-6 June 2023, as he spoke on his meeting with His Eminence, the Grand Imam, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayyib, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, at the headquarters of the Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in Cairo. He discussed with him many topical issues and problems of the time, especially the importance of coordination and strengthening cooperation relations and partnership and communication with a reputable scientific institution such as Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. Then His Excellency spoke about his visit to the Thai capital Bangkok, where he was a guest of honor at the graduation ceremony of the International Crescent School, in recognition of his distinguished contributions in the field of education for decades, and our gratitude for the appreciated efforts it is making to spread the approach of moderation, tolerance and peaceful coexistence inside and outside the OIC member states. Then, the meeting discussed the items of the decisions issued by the previous meeting, and several new decisions were issued, from the most important ones:

  • The importance of completing the formulation of the recommendations of the symposium on breastfeeding premature babies in its final form and submitting them to the General Secretariat.
  • Categorizing the contributions of member states in files specific to each country, provided that the file includes all incoming and outgoing correspondences, bank notes of receipt, letters of thanks, etc.
  • Sending certificates of thanks and appreciation to all participants in the symposium on breastfeeding premature babies, known and unknown mothers.
