H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, chaired the 45th monthly regular meeting of the Academy’s employees on Sunday, 26 Rabi Al-Awal 1446, corresponding to 29 September 2024.

His Excellency began by greeting participants, thanking them all for their cooperation in accomplishing the medical fiqh symposium on cultured meat, which was held in collaboration with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority on 21-22 Rabi Al-Awal 1446, corresponding to 24-25 September 2024 in Jeddah, and saw profound discussions between specialists in the fields of food and meat, and the Academy’s members and experts.

As for the preparations for the next session, His Excellency informed the meeting of the postponement of the next session at the request of the State of Qatar. He then opened the floor for the staff to express their opinions and observations on the Academy’s work progress. After listening to the comments and suggestions, the meeting took several decisions, notably:

• Drafting the recommendations of the Cultured Meat Symposium and sending them to participants for review.
• Conducting a final review of the papers submitted for the next session session, including names and academic academic titles.
• Preparing letters of thanks to the head of the Saudi Drug and Food Authority and the Director General of MOFA.
• Preparing and distributing letters regarding the postponement of the 26th session to a later date.
