H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, chaired the 135th weekly meeting of the Academy’s departments on Monday 22 Jumada Al-Akhira 1446, corresponding to 23 December 2024, at the Secretariat General’s headquarters in Jeddah.

The Secretary General began the meeting by welcoming the participants, then briefed them on the latest developments regarding the arrangements for the 26th session, where he reviewed with the participants a number of topics and issues, stressing that all the requirements by Qatar have been met and will be discussed at the meeting scheduled between the Academy delegation and the Qatari Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs this week.

The meeting reviewed previous decisions and issued new ones, namely:

• Sending a letter to request courtesy visits to the delegations of (Libya, Egypt, Morocco) to the OIC in Jeddah.
• Prepare soft copies for the session’s research papers and send to members and experts.
• Finalize printing of all 26th session papers and prepare an integrated dossier on the 26th session.
• Send out reminders concerning member states’ contributions.
