On Tuesday, 22 Rabi’ al-Akhir 1447 AH, corresponding to October 14, 2025, the Academy held an extended meeting to evaluate its strategic plan at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Jeddah. The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Professor Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, and attended by all staff members of the General Secretariat.
At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the attendees and praised their sincere efforts in implementing the Academy’s programs and activities over the past years. He emphasised that this meeting reflects the General Secretariat’s commitment to evaluating institutional performance and improving the quality of administrative and scholarly work within the framework of the strategic plan that has spanned the past five years.
Following that, Dr Abdel Fattah Ibnouf, Director of the Planning and International Cooperation Department, presented a comprehensive overview of the Academy’s strategic plan. He reviewed the key items and projects that were implemented, the results achieved, and the challenges faced during the previous period, along with proposed solutions and remedies based on available resources.
The second session of the meeting was dedicated to discussing the staff’s opinions and observations regarding the current plan. Attendees shared a range of constructive comments and suggestions aimed at improving performance and enhancing integration between departments. His Excellency affirmed that all feedback and proposals would be carefully studied and taken into account when preparing the upcoming strategic plan, ensuring its alignment with the Academy’s future aspirations and its global scholarly and jurisprudential mission.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all Academy staff for their active participation and valuable contributions. He commended the spirit of cooperation and dedication to advancing institutional work. He called on everyone to continue their efforts to strengthen the Academy’s role in serving the issues of the Islamic Ummah.
The meeting ended with His Excellency inviting the attendees to a lunch on this occasion, in an atmosphere of warmth and positivity that reflects the spirit of teamwork within the General Secretariat.
