The 59th Monthly Periodic Meeting of the Academy Staff, chaired by His Excellency Prof. Dr Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy
On Sunday, 11 Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to November 2, 2025.
His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the employees and thanking them for their attendance. He continued his engagement in these regular meetings, which aim to enhance institutional performance in line with the Academy’s mission and objectives. He then informed the attendees of the approval by His Excellency Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Chairman of the Academy—may Allah preserve him—of the proposed topics for the Academy’s 27th session, confirming that the process of commissioning papers would begin this week. He also announced the postponement of the seminar titled “Religious Leadership in Confronting Violence Against Women” to January 2026, God willing, emphasising the importance of thorough preparation from all aspects.
His Excellency further stated that this meeting was dedicated to self-critique, resolving issues, offering suggestions, and fostering communication among Academy staff. In line with this, he allowed employees to express their opinions and suggestions for improving the Academy’s work. The meeting resulted in several key decisions, including:
• Sending a congratulatory letter to His Eminence, the Mufti Sheikh Saleh bin Fawzan Al-Fawzan, and His Excellency, Dr Fahd Al-Majid, Secretary General of the Council of Senior Scholars in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with sending all of the Academy’s publications to both of them.
• Finalising the review of the book “Dictionary of the Academy’s Notable Figures”, preparing its final version, and sending it to the printing press.
• Communicating with the publishing house to review and correct the French version of the book Resolutions.
