H.E. Prof. Dr Koutoub Moustafa Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, chaired the one‑hundred‑and‑fifty‑fourth weekly meeting of the departments on Monday, 11 Shawwal 1447 AH, corresponding to 30 March 2026, at the General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah.
He opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees and emphasising the importance of regular meetings in supporting the completion of administrative and scholarly tasks, strengthening follow‑up efficiency, and contributing to the continued success of institutional work. The meeting also reviewed progress on matters related to the upcoming session, particularly the review of submitted research and the completion of approval procedures in preparation for sending the final versions for printing.
He further instructed the Department of Planning and International Cooperation to proceed with printing the updated version of the strategic plan after incorporating the remarks submitted by the relevant departments, in preparation for its final approval. This step aims to establish a clear roadmap for implementing the Academy’s future programs and activities.
The meeting concluded with several decisions, notably:
• Continued coordination between the Fatwa and Libraries Departments and the Financial Affairs Department to provide the required data regarding the Academy’s participation in books presented at international exhibitions.
• Emphasis on organising the administrative aspects of regular meetings, including hospitality arrangements for staff meetings.
• Approval to proceed with printing the updated version of the strategic plan according to the submitted remarks, in preparation for its adoption before the next meeting.
