
His Excellency Prof. Dr Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, chaired the 155th weekly meeting of the departments on Monday, 25 Shawwal 1447 AH, corresponding to 13 April 2026 CE, at the headquarters of the Academy’s General Secretariat in Jeddah.
His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees and emphasising the importance of regular meetings in enhancing the efficiency of administrative and scholarly work, facilitating follow-up and implementation, and contributing to the continued success of institutional performance. The meeting also addressed progress on tasks related to the upcoming session, particularly the review of submitted research papers and ensuring they meet the required thematic criteria in preparation for approval and printing.
His Excellency further instructed the Department of Planning and International Cooperation to send the revised strategic plan to his office for review and comments, in preparation for its final approval. This step aims to establish a clear roadmap for implementing the Academy’s future programs and activities.
Following this, the attendees discussed the items listed on the agenda and made several decisions, the most notable of which were:
- Continuing coordination among the Departments of Fatwas, Libraries, and Legal Affairs to provide the necessary information regarding the approved methods for selling the Academy’s books.
- Preparing cost estimates for printing the research papers of the upcoming session, in addition to the air‑freight costs associated with shipping them.

Proceeding with the printing of the new version of the strategic plan in accordance with the feedback received from the relevant departments, in preparation for its approval.
