At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the participants and expressed his appreciation to the department heads for their efforts in following up on the implementation of meeting resolutions. He also commended the Department of Planning, Development, International Cooperation, Archives and Follow-up for organising meetings and monitoring the implementation of its recommendations. In addition, he praised the Translation Section for successfully completing the printing of the book “Resolutions and Recommendations of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy” in Turkish. Special thanks were extended to Dr Ismail Cebaci, Head of the Encyclopedias and Dictionaries Division, in recognition of his efforts in reviewing and correcting the Turkish translation.

His Excellency also announced the change of the job title of the Printing Section under the Department of Research, Studies, Encyclopedias and Dictionaries to the Data Processing and Text Entry Section. Furthermore, he commended Mr Amjad Ibrahim Mustafa’s contributions during his tenure at the Academy and wished him continued success in his future endeavours.

The meeting then discussed a number of administrative and organisational matters related to departmental operations and reviewed the level of implementation of previous resolutions. Several decisions were adopted, the most important of which included:

• Updating, redesigning, and printing the Academy’s brochures and informational materials, incorporating updated information on the Academy’s sessions, and including them among the Academy’s promotional gifts.
• Completing the preparation of introductory kits and gifts in the three working languages and sending the Academy’s publications, the fifth edition of the Book of Resolutions, and issues of the Academy Journal to universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Enhancing the Academy’s promotional and informational tools by installing a display screen introducing the Academy’s presidents, secretaries-general, members, and experts, as well as providing the necessary technical equipment for covering activities and events.
• Encouraging greater staff participation in training programs, continuing the development of the technical infrastructure, and completing the programming of the Academy Library Catalogue and making it accessible through the Academy’s website.
• Continuing the development of the Academy’s newsletter, preparing an album documenting the Academy’s major occasions and meetings with prominent personalities, and following up on the implementation of previous meeting resolutions while issuing reminders before the convening of regular meetings.
