H.E. the Secretary General Visits the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Publication of the Holy Quran in Mohammedia

As part of his official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy (IIFA), accompanied by Mr. Hassan Kumait, Director of the Conferences Department at the Academy, and Ms. Hasna, Head of the Cooperation Division at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs of the Kingdom of Morocco, visited the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Publication of the Holy Quran in Mohammedia on Tuesday, 7 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to 21 July 2026.

His Excellency and the accompanying delegation were received by H.E. Mr. Omar Al-Amrawi, Director of the Foundation, who presented an overview of the Foundation’s establishment, mandate, and its scientific and technical role in the printing, publication, and distribution of the Holy Quran in Morocco and abroad.

During the visit, His Excellency reviewed the Foundation’s various editions of the Mohammedan Holy Quran, including editions prepared for mosques, gifts, elderly and visually impaired readers, and the Braille edition. He was also briefed on the Foundation’s translations of the meanings of the Holy Quran into French, English, and Spanish, the Quarter-Hizb Quran published in 2025 to facilitate memorisation and revision, and the Digital Mohammedan Quran.

The delegation also toured the Foundation’s printing facilities, where they were introduced to the successive stages of Quran production, from scholarly review and printing to binding and final quality control, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and quality.

His Excellency expressed his deep appreciation for the Foundation’s outstanding efforts in serving and preserving the Holy Quran and commended the generous patronage of the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah grant him victory. He praised the Foundation as a leading institution dedicated to the preservation, publication, and dissemination of the Book of Allah.

At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Omar Al-Amrawi presented the International Islamic Fiqh Academy with a deluxe copy of the Mohammedan Holy Quran in recognition of the Academy’s scholarly mission and its service to Islam and Muslims.

Established by Royal Decree on 23 February 2010, the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Publication of the Holy Quran is Morocco’s national reference institution responsible for the scientific and technical preparation, printing, publication, recording, and distribution of the Holy Quran. It also supervises and authorises Quranic publications and distributes copies to mosques across Morocco, several African countries, and Moroccan communities abroad.
