His Excellency opened the meeting by welcoming all attendees, then reviewed the latest arrangements and preparations for the Twenty-Seventh Session of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy Council and the follow-up of related activities. He expressed his appreciation to the Departments of Research and Studies and Media and Public Relations for their efforts regarding the session’s papers and the follow-up of their printing, the receipt of draft resolutions and research summaries within the specified deadline, as well as the completion of the design of the session agenda, the strategic plan, and the newsletters. His Excellency also informed the attendees that flight reservations for all session participants had been successfully completed.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to the completion of the final arrangements for the session and adopted several decisions, the most important of which were:

• Following up on the delivery of airline tickets to Academy members, completing the procedures related to participants from countries requiring entry visas, and ensuring that the links sent to them by the host entity have been received.
• Preparing the file for the Bureau Meeting in booklet form, including the agenda and listed items, in addition to completing the formatting of the subject presentations and producing them in a dedicated booklet.
• Finalising the wording of the recommendations of the seminar entitled “The Role of Religious Leaders in Combating Violence Against Women” in preparation for sending them to a number of participants for review.
