IIFA Secretary General calls for Renewing the Content of Religious Lessons to Promote the Values of Moderation, Tolerance and Coexistence in Societies

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), participated in the second scientific conference of the College of Islamic Studies at Mohamed bin Zayed University for Human Sciences, entitled “Islamic Studies in Universities: Towards Promoting the Values of Citizenship and Coexistence,” from 28-30 Rabi’ al Thani 1444H, corresponding to 22-24 November 2022G, in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.

His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Hamid, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, imam and Khatib of the Great Mosque of Mecca, and President of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), and His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sanu, Secretary General of the Academy, participated in the 35th International Conference of Muslims of Latin America and the Caribbean under the slogan “Muslims of Latin America Confronting the Phenomenon of Hatred", which is held from 24-26 Rabi` al-Thani 1444H, corresponding to 18-20 November 2022G, in the Brazilian capital, São Paulo.

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, and His Excellency Mr. Abdul Samad Al Yazidi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Muslims in Germany, signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two institutions, on Monday 20 Rabi` al-Thani 1444H corresponding to 14 November 2022G in Frankfurt, the Federal Republic of Germany.

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the ninety-eighth weekly meeting of the departments of the Academy, on Tuesday 21 Rabi` al-Thani 1444H corresponding to 15 November 2022G, via video technology from his residence in Frankfurt, the Federal Republic of Germany.

At the kind invitation of His Excellency Dr. Yousef Al-Khalawi, the Secretary General of the Al-Baraka Forum for Islamic Economics, His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), participated in the Summit of the Al-Baraka Forum for Islamic Economics on Saturday and Sunday 18 and 19 of Rabi` al-Thani 1444H corresponding to 12 and 13 November 2022G, in the British capital, London.

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), and His Excellency Dr. Abu Bakr Jaber Abu Bakr, Head of College and Vice-Chancellor of Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education at the University of Dundee in Britain, signed a cooperation agreement between the two parties on Saturday 18 Rabi` al-Thani 1444H, corresponding to 12 November 2022G, in the British capital, London, on the sidelines of the Al Baraka Forum for Islamic Economics.

At the kind invitation of the management of the Islamic Cultural Center in London, UK, His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), delivered the Friday sermon at the Great Mosque of London, on 17 Rabi’ al-Thani 1444H corresponding to 11 November 2022G, in both Arabic and English, and its theme was "our duty to our nation.”

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), chaired the forty-fifth periodic meeting of the heads of the divisions of the Academy, on Thursday 16 Rabi` al-Thani 1444H, corresponding to 10 November 2022G, via video technology from his residence in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the Academy, and His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Director General of the Emirates Council for Fatwa (part of the Presidential Cabinet), signed a memorandum of cooperation on Thursday 16 Rabi’ al-Thani 1444H corresponding to 10 November 2022G in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi, in the presence and under the supervision of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Bin Bayyah, Chairman of the Council.

His Excellency Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), participated in the 9th Assembly of the Abu Dhabi Forum for Peace, which is being held this year under the title "Globalized Conflict and Universal Peace: Demands and Partnerships", from 14 to 16 Rabi’ al-Thani 1444H corresponding to 8 to 10 November 2022G, in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.
