His Eminence Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ahmed Shoaib, Supervisor of the Observatory of Fatwas and Reviews at the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA), representing His Excellency the Secretary General of the Academy, presided over the nineteenth meeting of the Academic Accreditation Commission of the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI), on Tuesday 26 Jumada Al-Awwal 1444H corresponding to 20 December 2022G, through Zoom technology, which is the last meeting for the year 2022G of the Scientific Board for Accreditation.

The meeting began with the approval of the agenda for discussion and deliberation, and the approval of the minutes of the eighteenth meeting, then the Secretary General of the Council presented a report on the activities of CIBAFI during the last period, and professional development initiatives were discussed. During the meeting, the Shariah audit portfolio (the third level) was approved, and the risk management portfolio evaluation report was discussed along with a number of other meeting items.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdelilah Belatik, Secretary General of the Council, His Excellency Dr. Faisal Al-Atabani from the Institute of Islamic Economics of King Abdelaziz University, His Excellency Prof. Akram Lal Al-Din, CEO of the International Shariah Research Academy in Malaysia (ISRA), His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Bores from the Saleh Kamel Center at Al-Azhar University, and Ms. Mariam Al-Daqqaq from CIBAFI.
