The Secretary-General of the Academy, H.E. Prof. Koutoub Sano, held the third periodic meeting of the heads of the Academy’s divisions. His Excellency opened the meeting by thanking the participants for their efforts in implementing the decisions approved by the previous meetings, which go hand in hand with the process of the Academy’s development, performance, the realization of its programs and activities.

His Excellency spoke of the outcomes of the recent meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Muslim Countries held by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the decisions that followed, including the approval of the amended Statute of the Academy.

His Excellency commended the first issue of the Academy’s first newsletter and the introductory brochures, and also commended the efforts of Mr. Mohamed Silla who accompanied His Excellency on his trip to Niger.

The meeting resulted in a series of decisions, including the following:

1 – To study the proposal to create periodic mini-seminars among the OIC Member states on important topics in the legal, intellectual, educational and cultural fields.

2 – Finalize the printing of the Academy’s resolutions and recommendations before the end of December.

3- Publish the monthly newsletter in the three official languages on the Academy’s website.

4- Adopt the twentieth day of each gregorian month as the fixed date for the publication of the monthly newsletter of the Academy.
