4th Periodic Meeting of the Heads of Divisions
24 December، 2020

H.E. Prof. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the Academy, held the fourth periodic meeting of the heads of the Academy’s administrative and technical divisions on Wednesday 1 Jumada Al-Awal 1442, corresponding to 16 December 2020. His Excellency referred at the beginning of the meeting to the importance of strengthening cooperation and integration among the Academy’s staff in accordance with the ten core values of the Academy.

His Excellency called for the need to eliminate the phenomenon of negative rumors in the workplace through mutual support and advocacy in accordance with the hadith of the Messenger, may the prayer and peace of Allah be upon him: “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.” [Sahih Muslim 2586]

His Excellency reminded the participiants of the importance of adhering to the noble Quranic verse: “O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.” Al-Hujurat 6

This verse means that the gossip transmitter is considered, in the honorable Shariah, as an immoral person whose testimony is not accepted and has no value in society, because gossip, which means to transmit false information to corrupt people, is considered the worst social disease that must be fought for the security of society. His Excellency also stressed to the colleagues the need to deal with each other with open arms and a clear heart.

His Excellency announced the beginning of the implementation of the system of flexible working hours for employees, and he also confirmed that the second issue of the monthly newsletter would be published on the twentieth day of each calendar month.

On the other hand, His Excellency stated that the strategic plan for the year 2021 is ready and represents a qualitative leap in the work of the Academy, as it includes a clear formulation of the activities and programs that the Academy intends to carry out during the next five years. The plan also clarifies the departments and divisions responsible for the implementation of the various programs and activities. It will be made available to all early next week so that work can begin on January 1, 2021.

It should be noted that the meeting of the heads of the Academy’ divisions is a periodic meeting held every two weeks in the presence of His Excellency the Secretary General to discuss the progress of the Academy’s work and to follow up the progress of its operational plans.
