H.E. Prof. Koutoub Sano receives a delegation from the World Muslim Communities Council

The Secretary-General of the Academy, H.E. Prof. Koutoub Mustapha Sano, received on Tuesday 30 Rabi` Al-Akhir 1442, corresponding to December 15, 2020 in his office in Jeddah, a delegation of the World Muslim Communities Council, headed by Dr. Muhammad Bachari, Secretary-General of the Council, and Prof. Hassan al-Marzouqi, Executive Director of the Council.

His Excellency reviewed with the delegation the great services provided by the Academy for the Islamic Ummah as countries and communities. He also briefed the delegation on the Academy’s five-year strategic plan, which includes the most important activities and programs that the Academy intends to implement over the next five years with the Muslim communities issues occupying a distinguished place in these activities and programs.

Accordingly, His Excellency invited the World Muslim Communities Council to cooperate closely with the Academy in implementing all other programs and activities related to Muslim communities, in recognition of the leading role that the Council plays in guiding and directing these communities. His Excellency also referred to the Academy’s experience in coordinating and cooperating with regional and international organizations in achieving objectives of common interest, such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the Islamic Advisory Group of the World Health Organization.

At the end of the meeting, commemorative souvenirs were exchanged between the two sides on this occasion.
