Dr. Abdulqahir Muhammad Ahmad Qamar, director of research, studies and fatwa, represented the Academy at the joint symposium organized by the Islamic Advisory Group, the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies on “Safety Practices during Ramadan and Access to Covid 19 Vaccine”.

Dr. Abdulqahir Qamar gave a detailed presentation on the theme of the symposium and answered legal questions on vaccination raised by many of the approximately 50 participants representing organizations and ministries of health from the Middle East.

It is worth noting that Dr. Abdulqahir Qamar also represented the Academy in the Islamic Advisory Group discussions concerning the WHO guidelines on Covid 19 during Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha last year.
