The Academy participates in the Technical Committee meetings of the Standards and Metrology Institute of Islamic Countries (SMIIC)

Dr. Ismail Cebeci, head of research and encyclopedias division, represented the Secretariat General of the Academy in the meetings of the technical committee meetings of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC-OIC) from 15 March 2021 to 1 April 2021.

Several experts from different Muslim countries participated in the committee meetings, which discussed many topics and issues, namely energy efficiency, renewable energy, halal cosmetics , halal management systems, agricultural products, halal food, halal medicines, transportation of dangerous goods, halal supply chains, leather and tanning products industry, textile industry and related issues.

It should be noted that the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries aims at developing a quality infrastructure by standardizing standards to facilitate trade, support sustainable economic growth and create an environment conducive to innovation in OIC member states.
