Within the framework of providing legal opinions on the developments of life and the challenges facing the Islamic Ummah, and based on the objectives of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) in consolidating the principle of Islamic pride and moderation among Muslim youth, and strengthening the role of Muslim youth in building society and its institutions, H.E. Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, IIFA Secretary General and H.E. Dr. Saleh bin Solaiman Al-Wahaibi, WAMY Secretary General, signed a memorandum of cooperation on Wednesday 2 Ramadan 1442, corresponding to 14 April 2021.
This memorandum aims at strengthening the relations of cooperation and coordination between the two organizations in areas of common interest, especially in promoting moral values among the youth and understanding the most important intellectual, social, economic and cultural challenges they face in the current era. This can be done by expressing legal opinions about them and providing them with appropriate Shariah solutions through lectures, seminars and round tables on different topics and current issues that concern the youth and influence their thoughts and behaviors.
The signing of this memorandum is an expression of the high importance and special status that the issues of family, women, youth and childhood enjoy within the strategic plan of the Academy, in order to guide them during calamities, show their judgments and direct them in their challenges.
Finally, it is necessary to promote prolific cooperation and serious coordination with long-standing global organizations with vast experience such as the World Assembly of Muslim Youth, which is both necessary, inevitable, and an important issue that cannot be underestimated.
